NEW YORK--Patrick Ewing scored 18 points as second-ranked Georgetown overcame stubborn Providence in the second half for a 70-50 Big East Conference quarterfinal basketball victory last night.

The Hoyas are the regular season Big East champion and with their best record in history, 27-3.
