Harvard senior goaltender Cheryl Late has been unanimously selected to the All Ivy women's ice hockey first team. This marks the second time in a row the Witchburg, Mass native has snagged the honor.

A four year starter and letterwinner. Late leads the Crimson in every career goaltending category. This year the Kirkland House Resident led the league in minutes played and had the highest save average of goalies who played more than 40 minutes.

The Slavie Studies concentrator racked up 264 saves and allowed only 28 goals, for a 2-74 goals-against average, as the Crimson clawed its way to a 12-8-1 record (4-3-1 Ivy), and a second-place Beanpot finish. As a sophomore and junior, Tate was Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Princeton placed three players on the league first squad, forwards Kelly O'Dell and Laura Halldorson and defenseman Syrena Carlbom. Dartmouth forward Estey Ticknor and Big Green defenseman Paula Joyce rounded out the team.

Four Crimson icewomen snared honorable mentions. Senior forwards Kathy Carroll and Dianne Hurley and senior defensemen Megan Berthold and Deb Taft took All-Ivy honors as well.

The five all-league elections and senior Sue Newell appeared at Bright Athletic Center last month in the Third Annual Women's Hockey Coaches Association. All-Star Game, their college hockey finale.
