Women's Swimming

In its lust dual and home meet of the season, the Harvard women's swimming team pulled off a mild upset, downing the University of Pennsylvania, 83-57, Saturday at Blodgett Pool. Penn had already toppled Yale, which pounded the Crimson earlier this year.

Senior Co-Captain Dehbie Zimic led the aquawomen, garnering first in the 1000-yd, freestyle in 10:45.72.

Co-Captain Jeanne Floyd took first in the 200-yd freestyle in 1:57.45.

Other winners for the Crimson included freshman Elaine Sang in the 100-and 200-yd, backstroke, senior Susan Kim in the 100-yd, breaststroke, and sophomore Annie Wilson in the 200-yd breaststroke.

Harvard also pulled a clean sweep in both the one-and three-meter dives, with Shannon Byrd, Kathy Josman and Megan Starkey finishing first, second and third, respectively.

To complete their careers at Blodgett Pool, Captains Floyd and Zimic then turned in a first and second, respectively, in the 500-yd, freestyle.
