An Israeli visiting scholar was reportedly not amused to find a small package outside his Adams House room this week with the words: "To Paul from S.S."

The mis-delivered "Secret Santa" gift apparently evoked images of the Nazi Schutzstaffel in the mind of Uri Almagor a Hebrew University professor of sociology and social anthropology living in Adams this fall.

"Someone came running up to me at lunch and said. "He's very pissed." A House Secret Santa coordinator Catherine Schuyler '85 said yesterday.

The game rules have not been changed as a result of the incident.
