There were plumbing problems last week at 17 Sumner St. office of several English faculty member.

A sewage pipe was apparently blocked up for about a week creating a lingering and unpleasant stench.

"It was embarrassing," said Assistant Professor of English A.W. Phinney.

"You'd have a student come in and there'd be this pervasive smell."

"It was only really acute for a couple of days," he added. "It's a nice building I still like it."
