In a battle of previously unbeaten house football teams yesterday, Quincy House knocked off Kirkland, 20-6.
The impressive win upped Quincy's record to 3-0, while Kirkland fell to 2-1.
In the second quarter, Quincy took advantage of a Kirkland fumble, turning the K-Land mistake into the day's first score. An additional score--off a scamper by Jay McNamara--in the second quarter put the score at 12-0.
Penalties posed a problem for Kirkland, and Quincy had its offense on the field for most of the first half.
Trying to make up for lost time, Kirkland picked up the pace in the second half and scored six points early in the fourth quarter.
