Harvard senior tailback Mark Vignali suffered neck injuries and a mild concussion late in Saturday's game against Brown

The Uniontown, Pa native spent the night under observation in Brigham and Women's Hospital and was released yesterday

Sources said yesterday that the Crimson star who rushed for more than 340 yards in the two weeks before the Brown game will be kept out of practice this week

His status for the Crimson's crucial Ivy showdown Saturday at Penn is uncertain.

"I hope he's all right Harvard coach Joe Rests said after the Brown game "We can't afford to lose him,"

Just one play after Vignali went down, teammate George Sorbara also suffered a mild conclusion.

He was admitted to Stillman Infirmary and later released.
