NYT Journalist Maggie Haberman Weighs In on Trump’s White House, Democratic Strategy at Harvard Talk
To the Editors of The Crimson:
One of the chants used by the coalition of minority students in their November 7 rally was offensive to the Harvard Extension School. The chant went something like. "We won't go to the Extension School" (to take advantage of some excellent courses in Afro-American Studies) because it is a "back door" to the University. We object to this negative attitude towards Extension because we are very proud of the Extension School's very diverse course offerings and especially because of the University's open enrollment policy into the Extension School.
Calling the Extension School names serves no purpose in expressing their grievance with FAS. We invite their College students involved to first look at the Extension catalogue before calling Extension names, in public. Bryan Ferrick '85 Extension Student Affairs Council
