The Radcliffe sailing team took fourth place this weekend in the fall New England Championships, held on the Charles River.

Tufts took first place in the event, which featured 13 schools from all over the country.

Brown, which appeared to be on its way to victory, finished second, while Boston University finished third."

For Radcliffe, which also finished fourth a year ago, Captain and skipper Jamie Jenkins and crew member Beth Pryor finished third in the 'A' division.

In the 'B' division, skipper Rachel Givelber and crew Tracy Monroe finished fifth.

Their combined finishes were what accounted for the overall fourth place finish in the finall event of the fall.

The sailors will now vacation until late February, when they will travel to Charleston, S.C. to defend a title they won there a year ago.
