Roger Rosenblatt, who ran the Expository Writing program in the early 70s, knows what Harvard is about: influence.

Last month, Rosenblatt signed with Doubleday books to write about the subject, to the tune of 600 pages.

"Oddly enough," he says, "no one's ever looked at Harvard as an institution of influence."

"Did you know that there are more Harvard professors in the Reagan Administration, 20, than any other, including the Kennedy?"

Rosenblatt, a senior writer for Time, author of the award-winning book "Children of War," former master of Dunster House and assistant professor of English, says he is going to limit his work to the last 50 years and the fields of "business, government, media, melamine, law environment. etc"
