Racquetmen Rip Cadets. 8-1

By Benjamin R. Reder

The only surprising thing about the Harvard men's squash team's defeat of Army Saturday's at West Point. NY was that Crimson Coach Dave Fish wasn't terribly over-loved.

But when you're as good as the racquetmen you can afford to be. "We played sloppy. Fish saw attributing it to lack of practice time and concentration due to exams.

Even the sloppy play, though didn't keep seven of mine. Harvard players from winning their matches, 3-0.

Fish was pleased however, with the performance of his lower seeded players. He wasn't surprised, though "I've seen what they have been doing in practice, so I knew what to expect, 'he said.

Harvard's only loss Saturday came when Captain Jim Lubowitz. who moved up to the number two spot in the absence of an injured David Boyum. succumbed to Cadet Rich Clark 3-0.

The Crimson's next opponent is Williams The February 2 contest should offer an exciting match between last year's amateur national champion. Kenton Jernigan, who will be returning to Harvard after a semester's leave, and Greg Zaf, who defeated Jernigan in a tournament several weeks ago.

THE NOTEBOOK: Harvard is 4-0.... The racquetmen defeated Franklin and Marshall College in an unofficial scrimmage yesterday.
