To the Editors of The Crimson:

Once again you have succeeded in spelling the name of our 33rd President incorrectly (January 11, 1984, "Reagan Opens Relations with Vatican ..., " p. S, last paragraph of article).

The correct spelling is "Harry S Truman" and not "Harry S. Truman."

He has no middle name, or more accurately, his middle name is simply "S" and therefore the period after the "S" is not only unneeded but incorrect.
