Radcliffe rowed a great race, but Dartmouth rowed a faster one. The ninth-ranked Black and White couldn't overtake second-ranked Dartmouth Saturday in Hanover, losing by three seconds to the more powerful Big Green.

The visiting crew pulled together well, showing more consistency than in last week's uneven performance at Cornell. But the lack of power that flawed last week's race did them in once again. Dartmouth extended its lead gradually over the Radcliffe boat despite the Black and White's better rowing form.
