Presidential hopeful Sen. Gary Hart (D-Colo.) announced at the Federal St. Harvard Club yesterday the formation of "Students for Hart" committees on 104 campuses, including Harvard.

Hart, who directed the heavily student based presidential campaign of former Sen. George McGovern in 1972, said that two of his major issues--the nuclear freeze and education--were targeted at students and asked their help.

Six students from "Harvard for Hart" attended the brief announcement. George Perrulakis '85, a member of the group would be mobilizing the next two weeks to help their candidate's Massachusetts efforts.

Hart was in Boston for the State Democratic Dinner held Thursday night, at which five other presidential hopefuls also spoke. Before yesterday's announcement, he held a fundraising breakfast at the Harvard Club.
