Radcliffe has received more than $1 million, one of the largest gifts in the college's history, to establish a scholarship fund for women undergraduates, Radcliffe officials announced last week.

The college will probably invest the amount and use the income it generates for financial aid packages. Leslie Shabat, an official in the Development Office said yesterday.

The fund is a bequest from the late Alice Cunningham Lace '18.

Radcliffe currently supplements Harvard's financial aid resources with $1 million each year for women undergraduates.

The college also announced last week that it had received a $500,000 from the estate of Bernice Gertrude Estes '19.
