Nuclear Conference

By Compiled FROM College newspapers

Dartmouth College will host an Ivy League conference on the issue of nuclear war this spring.

The conference will include ten students from each of the eight Ivy schools, a number of prominent library and political figures and possibly a small delegation from the Soviet Union. Former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig will serve as the keynote speaker, and author Xurt Vonnegut will give the closing address.

Senior Dan Zeiklow, the principal organizer of the event, said the conference has three goals to "promote undergraduate scholarship on the issue," to give credit to college students for "new approaches and new ideas," and to raise public consciousness about nuclear arms.

Student delegates will be chosen from competitions at each of the eight Ivy schools. Brown Daily Herald. Feb.2
