More than $5000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a Dunster House student's room during last week's spring break. Harvard Police reported yesterday.

According to police reports, an unidentified person stole necklaces earrings, rings, and pendants from the undergraduate's desk. Police estimated the total value of the jewelry at $5525.

Police said the incident was the third larceny reported in Dunster House since spring vacation.

Other alleged crimes reported to the Harvard Police during the week ending Thursday, April 4, include the following incidents.

*An unidentified burglar took a wallet and a Seiko watch from an unattended locker at the Indoor Athletic Building (IAB) Wednesday afternoon. The value of the watch and wallet, which contained cash and credit cards, was estimated at $200. According to University Police records, there are no suspects in the case.

*A person who left his watch in an envelope with the desk monitor at the IAB Wednesday returned later to find his envelope empty. The monitor originally on duty had been had been relieved for a shift change Police said similar disappearances have been reported at the IAB in the past.

*Fourty-two dollars in cash was taken from an office in Building E-2 at the Medical School between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Thursday. The office was unlocked and unattended at the time. Police have no suspects in the case.

*An unidentified person took a wallet from a desk left unattended in the Law School's Dane Hall between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Monday. Total value of the wallet and its contents was $70. Police have no suspects in the case.

*An unidentified person took a brown leather shoulderbag from a Littauer Center office between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday. The total value of the item is estimated to be $25. There are no suspects.

*Between 6 p.m. March 28 and 9 a.m. March 29, an unidentified person stole $250 in cash and checks from an unlocked desk drawer in Andover Hall at the Divinity School Police have no suspects in the case.

Police records list 23 reported larcenies on University grounds between March 27 and April 4. The total value of property reported token was estimated at $8421.
