Good sense sometimes takes astonishing forms. By all reports, the Radcliffe Quad Athletic Facility will be shuttered for some time, a victim of leaks and water seepage. It might be a strictly technical problem, but more likely it embodies errors of planning and conception. What the Quad really needed, after all, was a swimming pool.
