PLYMOUTH, Mich Weekend cross burnings at the homes of two Black families in this community on 49,000 appear to be isolated incidents police said yesterday.

One of the three-foot crosses was found burning about 10 p.m. Friday and the other the next morning about 7 a.m.

No other such incidents have been reported in the racially and ethnically mixed community in recent years, said Lt. Larry Stewart of the police department in Wayne County's Canton Town bip.
