Class on Lennon

LANSING. Mich.--A Michigan State University professor is using John Lennon's songs as examples of pyschopathological problems in a course dedicated to the late performer.

Dr. Gerald Osborn, who calls himself an "aging rock 'n' roller," includes in the medically oriented course songs like "I Am The Walrus" in a lecture on depression and "Nowhere Man" to help illustrate personality disorders.

Osborn said he has used other literary works--including some by William Shakespeare--to highlight his lectures in the past, the Stanford Daily News reported.
