Rugby Teams Fall To McGill Squads

The men's and women's rugby teams traveled north to Montreal over the weekend to meet McGill University, and the Crimson took victories in only one of four contests.

The men's "A" game, which marked the continuation of the longest intercollegiate rivalry in North America--Harvard and McGill were meeting for the 110th time--was won by McGill, 15-3. Thus the Canadians took home the coveted Cvo Cup, given to the winners each year.

"It was frustrating, because the team is in experience, said." Harvard Captain Greg Carey. "This are rebuilding year."

The men's "B" entry was able to win its match, 10-0, when the "C" squad dropped a 4-0 decision.

In the women's game. McGill also was able to pull out a 4-0 victory, despite some fine play by Harvard scrum-half Louie-Meacham. The women, who are only in their second year as a team, found McGill's experience to be the deciding factor in the game.
