Yale 36, Columbia 10

Yale upped its Ivy League mark to 1-1 Saturday afternoon with a 36-10 win over. Columbia (1-3 Ivy) in New Haven. The Elise totaled 456 yards offensively against the Lions, who coughed up three fumbles and watched their ace quarterback John Witkowski throw five interceptions.

Lafayette 35, Penn 20

After an astonishing 4-0 start, Penn suffered its first loss of the seasons Saturday afternoon, falling to Lafayette, 35-20, in Easton, Pa.

Brown 38, Cornell 19

Brown scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to beat Cornell, 38-19. Saturday in Ithaca. The win upped Brown's Ivy mark to 2-2, while Cornell's record dropped to 0-3. Cornell's quarterback Jeff Hammond throw three Interceptions, and Brown's Joe Potter tossed four. But Potter redeemed himself with a fourth-quarter 83-yard pass to fullback Bill Barrette that broke the Brown school record.

Army 20, Princeton 14

A 56-yard run by reserve QB Rich Laughing gave Army a 20-14 win over Princeton (2-1 Ivy) Saturday at Princeton.
