The following reports of major crimes were compiled from notes in the Harvard Police log from April 9 to 17. [Police Notebook will be a regular feature of The Crimson.]

April 4, 2:38 a.m.--Police arrested two men for trespassing, possession of burglary tools, and receiving stolen property. Officers apprehended the men at Byerly Hall with two bags of coins taken from a vending machine in the basement.

During processing at the police station, one of the men kneed an officer in the groin and was charged with assault and battery on a police officer.

April 10, 11:45 p.m.--Police were called to the scene of an assault and battery on Banks St. the victim had been approached by two white males asking directions, was attacked by one, and ran to the emergency phone at Peabody Terrace to summon help.

April 13, 7:24 a.m.--Police investigated the theft of a 14-lb. ham, six pounds of cooked roast beef, and a ten-lb. salami from the Greenhouse Cafe. The thieves broke open a lock on a refrigerator to steal the food.

April 13, 6:25 p.m.--Police arrested two juveniles for trespassing and possession of burglary tools. The youths were caught near a bike rack in the Quincy House yard with a pair of bolt cutters.

Last week, police investigated 30 reports of larceny. Total losses in the thefts was estimated at $6841.11. The crimes ranged from a 1976 Fiat Spider stolen from the IAB parking lot to a phone cut from its extension cord at the Freshman Union and included seven missing bicycles.
