HANOVER, N.H.--Salmonella poisoning, which has struck Dartmouth University 16 times in the past few months, has been linked to contaminated marijuana, and a university official said "it is a possibility" that the two are connected.
"This is a new piece of evidence," Neil Gillies, a clinic supervisor at Dartmouth, said, adding. "We'll turn it over to the investigators."
The Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Ga.. made the connection between marijuana and Salmonella while studying an outbreak of Salmonella in Ohio.
