The women's hockey team with attempt to repeat the men's Monday night Beanpot heroies in the third annual Women's Beanpot. Tuesday night at the Boston Arena.

The Crimson, who captured second in last year's tourney, face off against Boston College in the first opening round matchup at 8 p.m. The Eagles, behind Peggy Cameron's phenomenal goaltending, edged Harvard, 3-1 (the third being a last minute empty netter), in December. But Tuesday's contest will depend, not on previous scores, but intangibles associated with the aura of the Beanpot.

Tomorrow and Monday, the men's varsity squash team will be in Detroit for the United Sates Squash Racquet Championships. The Crimson, seeded third in the six-man championships (regular collegiate squash tournament slates are for nine players from each team) will look to knock off second-seeded Princeton, which dumped Harvard 6-3, one week ago. That's the number-one priority.

Number-one player Brad Desaulniers will compete for the individual title, while the other five Crimson racquetmen battle for the team championship. Head coach Dave Fish and assistant coach Mark Panarese will compete in the teaching prodivision. Mexico, the country, is seeded first in the tourney.

The women's swim team hits the water for the Ivy League championships on Friday, looking to finish third, behind the nip-and-tuck first place battle between Princeton and Brown. Brown may have the advantage as the Bruins will host the meet.

The men's hoop team meets over-the-river rival Northeastern at 7:30 on Tuesday at the IAB. The Huskies, with a strong showing so far, should give the hoopsters quite a battle. Co-captain Mark Harris and Tom Mannix then lead the squad to Columbia on Friday, trying to put the Lions away for the second time this season, in an important Ivy League match-up.
