A memorial service for Jacqueline (jackie) S. Cook '84 will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. in Memorial Church. Cook, who was 19, died July 3 in a moped accident while traveling in France.
Her freshman proctor, Bruce M. Brooks, said yesterday Cook had a positive outlook on life, adding that she would always "help others who were having a down time."
Cook played J.V. tennis, served as an executive board member of the freshman Black Table and helped raise clothing and food for needy Roxbury families.
A resident of Chicago, Cook lived in Wigglesworth last year and this year would have lived in Leverett House. She declared Social Studies as her field of concentration.
The Kuumba Singers will perform at the service, organized by Cook's former roommate, Jennifer M. Howard '84.
