The Harvard-Radcliffe Peace Alliance will begin door-to-door canvassing of students Monday to encourage men not to register for the draft and to determine how many students would refuse to register even if required to by law.
The alliance will send its results to Congress to show how widespread opposition to the draft is, Jamie Raskin '83, an organizer of the drive, said last night.
The alliance will also be working with anti-registration groups at Boston University and Tufts, he added.
A Russian dissident interrupted an alliance meeting in the Canaday junior common room last night, saying the only way to secure America's future is through military muscle.
The dissident's companion, who asked not to be identified, said the pair decided to come to the meeting because "we did not like what the students were saying."
