The Single Face Of Harry Parker

Since 1963, Harry Parker has coached heavyweight crew at Harvard. Before this season, his crews had won 68 races and lost eight, including 11 Eastern Sprints titles. This year his crew went undefeated and won yet another Sprints championship.

These photos, from The Crimson's files, show Parker over the couse of his career, in 1974 [bottom left], in 1970, [bottom right]. The picture to the left shows Parker and this year's heavyweight captain, Charlie Altekruse, accepting the trophies for the crew's 1980 Sprints victory.
