PROVIDENCE, R.I--The director of the Brown University Third World Center last week released a report urging that the center expand its activities and that students be responsible for overseeing its day-to-day operations.

Felipe Floresca, a 1973 Brown graduate and director of the center, recommended the following additions to the center's programs:

Speeches and Symposiums

* A speakers bureau to organize speeches and discussions about Third World cultures and to prepare a symposium for minority leaders to discuss issues such as politics, unemployment and drug abuse.

* A quarterly magazine containing articles by minority scholars and to be produced with the involvement of other campus publications.

* A library with works by Third World authors and dissertations of minority students from various institutes.

* A job service to match minority students with internships offered by government agencies, art institutes, private firms and public interest groups.
