The Crimson water polo team converged on the Easterns at Fordham, N.Y., for the first time ever this weekend, and came away with two victories in three attempts, netting the squad fifth place in the eight-team tournament.

Seeded seventh, the aquamen opened the tournament with an unimpressive 11-4 loss to Brown Saturday morning. Goalie Rich Reid provided the sole highlight for Harvard, making 11 saves.

Then the Crimson caught fire in the water. In a hard-fought battle against the University of Richmond (Virginia) Saturday, the aquamen battle to an 8-8 tied. With only eight seconds left, Rich Guerra unloaded the game-winning shot, giving him a hat trick. Freshman David Fasi contributed three goals and two assists to the 9-8 win.

The aquamen finished up strong with an easy 16-7 win over Washington & Lee yesterday.
