University Police last week arrested two custodians from the department of Buildings and Grounds on larceny charges following a rash of thefts at the Law School.
Police have charged the custodians with stealing a typewriter from Langdell Hall last week, although more charges may be added, Saul L. Chafin, chief of University Police, said yesterday.
Both custodians worked the night shift at the Law School. Each has been employed by B&G for more than 12 years.
Lawrence Joyce, director of B&G, said yesterday he has mixed feelings about the arrest. "They were B&G emplyees, but at the same time I'm glad they were apprehended," he said.
