Canaday Hall's Roof, Bathrooms Now Renovated

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Building and Grounds (B&G) crews renovated the bathrooms in C, D and F entries of Canaday and patched the dormitory's leaky roof because of complaints from last year's residents, James A. Klein, senior adviser for Canaday, said yesterday.

Frank A. Marciano, superintendent of Main Area Maintenance for B&G, said last week the walls of some of the bathrooms of Canaday--one of the most overcrowded University housing facilities--had to be rebuilt because "the sheetrock material behind the showers is not conducive to long-term wear. Canaday is poorly designed--it's as simple as that."

Klein said he has heard no complaints about leakage problems yet. "But remember," he added, "it's only September."
