The women's track and field team yesterday named juniors Sue Harper and Kat Taylor captains for the 1979-80 season.

Taylor, a miler and two miler from San Mateo, Calif., set a record for Harvard women in the 3000 meters this season and was part of the relay team which broke the Harvard mark in the the two mile relay. Harper is a hurdler and long jumper from Worcester, whom coach Pappy Hunt called a "top scorer this season."

Hunt said he was "tickled to death" with his team's choices.
