HOCKEY NOTES

All Eastern College Hockey Association (ECHA) players will be required to wear protective face masks next season in accordance with a recent vote by the athletic directors of the 55-member association.

The Boston Globe reported yesterday that the National College Athletic Association (NCAA) appears likely to adopt the measure, which would mean all college hockey players in the United States would have to wear the cages beginning next season.
