Thomas Parsekian '81 said last week that he was negotiating with Playgirl magazine about being the subject of a pictorial and feature article.
But Jim Chada, art director of Playgirl, said yesterday that Parsekian "was not asked to do anything," and that his story was a "pure fabrication."
"I didn't want any part of the Harvard section (a feature called the "Men of Harvard" which Playgirl is preparing). I wouldn't exploit the Harvard name like that," Parsekian said, adding that he refused to appear nude.
But Chada said "his press representative sent us some eight-by-ten black-and-white photos and a covering letter that said it was a request to be in the men of Harvard section."
Chada added, "The shots were sent back to Parsekian with a polite letter saying thanks."
But no thanks.
