Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Cambridge police may soon catch up with students using false parking permits in and around Harvard Square, City Councilor Lawrence A. Frisoli warned at last night's City Council meeting.
Brandishing a city visitor parking permit, Frisoli accused students of making photocopies of the permits to keep their cars from being towed.
Frisoli sponsored a motion asking the police and traffic department to crack down.
"This system, set up to protect the residents of this city, simply is not working. Whatever we do, we have to start immediately to out-maneuver these ingenious students," Frisoli said.
Councilor Alfred E. Vellucci suggested printing the permits on colored paper to make them harder to photocopy.
