Oksman, B-School Assistant Professor And Board Member of Local Firm, Dies Friday at 35 in Belmont Home

Warren Oksman, 35 years of age, an assistant professor at the Harvard Business School, died Friday at his Belmont home.

Oksman had taught managerial economics since 1975 at the Business School. This year he was planning to teach a self-designed course in risk management.

Funeral Services for Oksman were held yesterday in Baltimore. A memorial service at Harvard is also planned, although the date has not yet been announced.

Oksman came to Harvard as a graduate student after earning a masters degree in engineering from Case Western University. He was a teaching fellow from 1970 to 1974 while working for advanced degrees in applied mathematics.

He served as director of social sciences research at Urban Systems Research and Engineering Corporation in Cambridge from 1971 until 1975, when he was elected to the board of directors.
