To the Editors of The Crimson:

The Holmes Hall Bathroom Solidarity Committee is pleased with your increased coverage of its activities. Nevertheless, we should like to make a few corrections.

The Quad Wide Howl, as you report, did indeed Help Students Relieve Exam Tension. However, as it has in past years, the Quad Wide Howl took place at the Quad, not in the Leverett House Library. While the turnout was smaller this year than in previous years, at least two hundred students attended, not 100. Furthermore, the scream your reporter heard was in fact anguished howling at the full moon, surely a more appropriate reaction to reading period than "B & B or requila." As it does every year, the Howl took place on the penultimate night of reading period, not last week.

Your coverage of our other gala event during this reading period was somewhat more accurate. However, we do feel that your reporter could have taken the trouble to correctly determine either the name of the dance or the provenience of the troupe that passed through Hilles on Saturday night. The dance is properly referred to as an Interpretative Bubble Dance, not, as you so crudely put it, a "balloon dance." The dance is an old and respected North House ritual; while we are open to dancers from everywhere, to the best of our knowledge none of us is affiliated with Adams House. In light of the growing literature on the Bubble Dance, including an extensive anthropological study done under Prof. Vogt, the Crimson's ignorance is, as ever, appalling.
