Dunster St., which has been closed to traffic since Monday, should be open to cars again tomorrow, Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) Inspector Mike A. Auriemma said yesterday.
The Charles Construction Company, contracted by the MBTA to build the extension of the Red Line from Harvard to Arlington, was forced to close Dunster Street in order to repair a broken water main.
Water mains in Harvard Square are being re-routed in order to avoid possible cut-offs in the water supply when construction of the extension begins. The extension is scheduded to be completed by 1983.
