I am writing in regards to an article which appeared in The Crimson on May 3 announcing the "discovery" that Limnoria has no bacteria in its digestive tract. Dixie Lee Ray pointed this out in a paper entitled "Nutritional Physiology of Limnoria" which appeared in the book "Marine Boring and Fouling Organisms" edited by Ray and published in 1959.
