While the Harvard golf team was winning the Greater Boston Championships, team member Leslie Greis was fighting the same blustery winds in the two-day New England Women's Intercollegiate Golf Championship play at Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst.
Greis finished third out of the 25-woman field with a 91 on Sunday and an 85 yesterday. She whipped around her final round in only two-and-a-half hours in order to get back to the heated 19th hole, but still shot a 40 for her final nine.
Mount Holyoke's Anne Locke won the title with inspiring rounds of 82 and 79. Monica Romano of Amherst finished second.
