Rugby Teams Blanked

By Keith Salkowski

It was not a good weekend for the Harvard Rugby Club. The A team traveled to the Ivy League Tournament in Providence, where it won one game and lost twice, while the B and C squads both dropped games to Brown at Soldiers Field.

In their first contest of the tourney the As lost a tight 4-0 decision to Princeton, the eventual tournament champions.

A little later on Saturday the ruggers came back to down Columbia, 9-0. Will Chang made a 30-yd. penalty kick in the first half, and in the second period Mike Jameson ran 40 yards for a try and Chang converted.

In their final game of the tournament the As succumbed to Cornell, 14-4. Kip MacKenzie's 20-yd. run for a try accounted for Harvard's points.

Meanwhile, back in Cambridge, Brown struck early in both games, scoring all its points in the first 15 minutes of both games, and held on to down the B team, 9-6, and the C s, 12-0.
