D'Agostino Selected All-Ivy Bixby Makes Second Team

Sal D'Agostino, the Crimson's stellar 190-Ib. grappler, was named to the All-Ivy wrestling squad and teammate Tom Bixby earned a spot on the second team in the 150-Ib. class yesterday.

Jim Corcoran, Bill Mulvihill, and Craig Beling all received Honorable Mentionsto round out the Crimson selections.

The Ivy League wrestling coaches voted for the grapplers based on their performances in conference dual meets. All ten of the first team wrestlers were unanimous choices.

After monopolizing a second team position for three years, D'Agostino climbed to the top of the 190-Ib. heap, thanks to a 7-5 victory over last year's All-Ivy choice, Joe Cooper of Yale, in February.

Crimson co-captain Bixby, who finished behind Yale's Steve Traylor, said Yesterday, "It's a nice way to finish a career." In a year of tough matches fellow co-captain Jim Corcoran moved down a step from last year's second team to Honorable Mention.

Beling and Mulvihill will return next season to anchor the Crimson lineup as Harvard's new co-captains.
