8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The Harvard-Radcliffe Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC) invited delegates to an organizational meeting for a Coalition of progressive Student Organizations (COPSO) last week, in an effort to coordinate the activities of activist groups on campus.
"The coalition will facilitate the exchange of information and centralize publicity," Rachel Dewey '78, president of DSOC, said yesterday.
COPSO invited minority and third world groups, Friends of the United Farm Workers, the Philips Brooks House (PBH), the Harvard Anti-Nuclear Alliance and SASC to attend an organizational meeting last night, but only SASC, PBH, and DSOC representatives were present.
DSOC wrote a trial constitution for the initial meeting of COPSO, held last Monday. The constitution called for each progressive group in the college to send two representatives each. Those present at the meeting decided to loosen the structure of participation.
