President Horner Will Travel To Mideast in Magazine Tour

By Brenda A. Russell

President Horner will tour the Middle East later this month as part of a "news tour" Time Inc. provides for its board of directors, of which Horner is a member.

Horner said yesterday she does not know which countries she will visit, and added that she will not stay for the entire tour because she has to help supervise the Radcliffe Centennial.

Role Playing

Donald M. Wilson, vice president of corporate and public affairs of Time Inc., said yesterday the trip is intended to give members of Time's board of directors an opportunity to meet with world leaders, and to "act in the role of reporter."

Although Wilson said the tour is not mandatory for those invited, Horner said she felt it is part of her duties as a director.

Wilson declined to discuss specific details of the trip, but said local Time correspondents will organize events in the countries on the itinerary.
