New Hospital Director

The adult medical surgery division of the Affiliated Hospitals Center (AHC), where a large number of Medical School graduates have internships, recently appointed a new director.

W. Vicory Stoughton, who assumed the post on March 1, said yesterday he plans to coordinate the merger of the administration of the division with two other Boston hospitals.

The hospitals will relocate their clinical systems in one central building, the AHC, which is currently under construction. The center will economize by sharing facilities. The $118-million project will be completed in 1982.

Stoughton plans consolidation of the hospitals financially, and to deal with the problems of combining clinical operations. He said as director he wants to help physicians and administrators work together with pride, spirit and dedication.
