The Harvard Party Company definitely will hold a dance in the Freshman Union February 24, Brett R. Johnson '81, founder of the company, said yesterday.

High overhead forced the company to cancel a champagne ball it planned to hold December 9, Johnson said, adding that "under no circumstances" would the company cancel next Friday's dance.

Archie C. Epps III, dean of students, said yesterday the party company is responsible for conducting the dance. and the University is responsible for granting permission to use the Union.

Epps said the party company has applied for a permit to use the Union, and that he expects to issue one.
