Red Sox: Mike Torrez fashioned his first complete-game victory with Boston and Jim Rice and Carl Yazstremski belted two-run homers, leading the Red Sox to a 5-0 decision over the Chicago White Sox Sunday.

Torrez, who signed for $2.5 million as a free agent after pitching the New York Yankees to the World Series championship last fall, allowed six hits and struck out four without issueing a walk in boosting his record to 4-1.
