BOSTON--Edward F. King, who lost the Republican gubernatorial primary to Francis W. Hatch Jr. '46, yesterday endorsed Edward J. King, the Democratic candidate for governor.

"Principle must be placed before blind party loyalty," King, a conservative Republican, said yesterday.
