Bradford Cleveland '81 died of pneumonia due to complications of multiple sclerosis Tuesday morning. He was 19 years old.
Cleveland, a resident of Carlisle, Massachusetts, was a member of Dudley House and was majoring in Modern European history.
"My son had multiple sclerosis, which is a long row to hoe. We never expected him to make it through high school. But he did, and with honors," Cleveland's father said yesterday. "At Harvard there was a wonderful bunch of people who were his friends, and I really don't know how he would have done it without their help."
Stephen Wilson '81, a friend and classmate, said yesterday, "Brad's personality made him exceptional. You forgot the fact that he was handicapped when you were with him. His personality remained unchanged, always friendly, optimistic and outgoing."
